Now you can also sleep on the beach at the Kiel Fjord and enjoy hours of sunshine until late in the evening! The first and only sleeping wicker beach chair at the Kieler Förde will be on the main beach in Heikendorf from the beginning of May and will bring unique moments of happiness.
This innovation has won the German Tourism Award 2016 and can now also be experienced on the Kiel Fjord. Make yourself comfortable on the sunbathing area of approx. 1.20m x 2.10m and spend unforgettable hours on the beach. Depending on sunshine, wind and weather you can open or close the canopy completely. The sleeping beach chair is bookable again for appointments from May 2020.
Enjoy the panoramic view of the Kieler Förde! With a view of the Friedrichsort lighthouse you can watch the many ships slowly passing you. Let yourself be enchanted by the maritime charm of the former fishing village of Heikendorf and spend a relaxing time on the "sunny side" of the fjord, just outside the gates of the state capital Kiel.
